Something to Share

I really wanted to share something here in Chris Pacana's blog, and it took me several hours just to find nil. Anyhow, I grabbed two photos of him and decided to park searching for his pictures that I have not shared yet. It's been a long time since I had watched PBA live. And it's really been months since I haven't seen Pacana in person, hu hu. I am really wishing that somehow, I got to bumped at him at the mall and have his picture taken just to have something new here.

Kings Dethroned

The Barangay Ginebra Kings (BGK) lost the championship to San Miguel Beermen (SMB) in Game 7. It is unfortunate that they were not able to retain their title, thus, being dethroned. I can't help but to breath in here what I really feel.

I am not totally sad because they were not able to retain the championship crown. I heartfully congratulate SMB, especially Jonas Villanueva for being recognized as the Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP). I am, however, disappointed that Chris Pacana had not played on Game 7. In Game 6, he had shown improvement in his game as compared to Game 5. But I just can't believe that Coach Jong Uichico prefer to have him seated for 48minutes rather than making use of his 'intelligent' defensive skills.

Well, the conference is over. But, I really just wanted to reminisce the previous Fiesta Conference (FiestaCon) when BGK won the championship. As compared to this championship, which seems to be 'written' that SMB will win; the battle between BGK and Air 21 Express then, was an epic. It was sheer heart, from Mark Caguio, to Junthy Valenzuela, to Paul Artadi, and to Pacana.

If ever BGK won this year's FiestaCon, I will never be totally happy at all. Well, happy for BGK, but not for Pacana. In last year's championship, I know that Pacana is really a part of their victory. But with this year's FiestaCon, win or lose, I already lost the battle. There is no Pacana on Game 7. *sigh*

I had heard rumors about him being traded to other team. Well, I would be glad with that trade, provided that his would-be new team will really help him in proving himself to Philippine Basketball Association (PBA); rather than having him stay in the most popular team and have him seated on the bench for the whole conference or season.

As what I always say, God Bless your career Chris! I will always be one of your loyal fans.

See You in Game 7 Chris!

Probably, I was able to foresee what's going to happen in the Finals series. I firmly believed that there would be Game 7. And I am definitely right. Both teams are doing great, and a do or die Game 7 will really be one of the best battles that we will be seeing.

I was overly happy seeing Chris Pacana given quality minutes on Game 5. And the happiness extends as his defense, again, was utilized by Coach Jong Uichico. I guess Uichico now realized that 'defense' is really the key to 'championship'. The feeling is even greater as my angel commended Chris' defensive skills. He told me that even Chris had been fouled out on Game 5, he had provided a great defensive stop against the San Miguel Beermen (SMB).

Game 6 is not Barangay Ginebra Kings (BGK) game. I guess it is just fine, for I got to see, once more, Chris on the hard court. As for me, it really doesn't matter who will win the game, for as long as Chris had exhibited what he has to give, it is much more rewarding than a Championship Title.

See You in Game 7 Chris! Prove to everyone that 'Defense wins the Championship!'

Will I See You Tonight?

JayJay Helterbrand, the reigning Most Valuable Player, is injured. If I'm not mistaken, it's the same injury he had a year ago, during the Fiesta Conference. It's the primary reason why he had been seated during the crucial minutes of the 4th quarter last game, where they had a sorry loss from San Miguel Beermen (SMB).

With this in mind, I am thinking that Chris Pacana will be visible tonight. He would be replacing Helterbrand, as what he does last time. On top of that, Paul Artadi is also nursing a fever. If I'm right, this could be another chance for Pacana to show how effective he is to the Barangay Ginebra Kings (BGK) line up.

And I was right, Pacana played a considerable playing minutes tonight. Well, unluckily I was not able to watch him, not even on TV. Nonetheless, I am happy for him, for myself, and for his fans. Let's not lose hope. We'll be seeing him in the next 2 games (if there would be game 7) of the finals.

Well, I got to see him in the 3rd Quarter, but he had been called for 3 fouls consecutively, hu hu. Plus a kick ball to an almost stolen leather. I believe that's just a proof that he really is on defense, the secret to win a championship.

I have to park now, got to watch the 4th Quarter with full attention, hee hee.
